About
We aim to provide a vibrant and fun space for people seeking recovery to engage in recreational activities, connect with peer support, and build friendships.
Where We Are
Gorge Recovery is a peer-led Recovery Community Organization serving individuals and families impacted by substance use throughout the Columbia River Gorge.
We create welcoming, recovery-focused spaces where people can find connection, support, and hope. Through peer support, community partnerships, and recovery-centered programming, we help individuals build meaningful lives in recovery and strengthen recovery in our communities.
Our Recovery Community Center in The Dalles will provide a safe and supportive environment where people can connect with Certified Recovery Mentors, access resources, participate in recovery activities, and build lasting relationships with others who understand the recovery journey through lived experience.
What We Do
At the heart of Gorge Recovery's work is peer support. Our Certified Recovery Mentors use their lived experience to help individuals navigate challenges, connect to services, set goals, and build recovery capital.
Through our Recovery Community Center, we provide:
Peer recovery support and resource navigation
Recovery-focused meetings and support groups
Social and recreational activities that strengthen connection and belonging
Education and skill-building opportunities
Family and community engagement
Harm reduction education, including Narcan distribution and training
Partnerships that increase access to recovery resources throughout the Gorge
We believe recovery happens in community, and our goal is to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
