About

We aim to provide a vibrant and fun space for people seeking recovery to engage in recreational activities, connect with peer support, and build friendships.

Where We Are

Gorge Recovery is a community-based, peer-led Oregon 501(c)3 non-profit bringing recovery drop-in centers to Wasco and Hood River Counties in the Columbia River Gorge in a region currently lacking recovery spaces.

Right now, we are looking to find a space in The Dalles, Oregon and continue expanding from there. The goal is to have a positive, fun, and accessible location that will allow the gorge recovery community to harness its inherent strengths and vision for peer-to-peer connection.

We are partnered with 4D Recovery to harness their wisdom and skill in creating this recovery center.

Where We’re Going

Once we have a location secured, we aim to connect the community with trained, Certified Recovery Peers offering professional support & linkage to additional services. Our rooms and spaces will hold Peer Support Meetings, including: AA, NA, Wellbriety, Dharma Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, CODA, Al-Anon, OA, GA, SLAA, NAMI Connection, and more.
Our space will host recreation activities such as billiards, foosball, yoga, game nights, and holiday celebrations. In our smaller spaces, we’ll host financial literacy, healthy lifestyle & parenting classes, and keep social services in-reach for our community members. For the community, we’ll offer Narcan distribution and training. But most importantly, we aim to be a central location for our recovery community to connect, recreate, and serve as role models for others new to recovery.
